A private 40-acre lake in Clare County, Franklin Township, owned & managed by members of the Trout Lake Property Owners Association. This motorless lake features pristine water for swimming and fishing, and is home to loons and other amazing wildlife.

Trout Lake offers “Up North” living in a beautiful wooded setting with lots of mature hardwoods surrounding the lake. Trout Lake members enjoy great fishing and leisure boating, as well as a private swim raft for community use only. Located in Clare County, it’s a short drive to Elbow Lake, Island Lake and Blue Lake. It is approximately 20 minutes from Houghton Lake. Trout Lake is a no-motors lake approximately 40 feet deep at it’s deepest point. Native Michigan fish include bass, pike, perch, bluegills, crappie and more.
